| TAWNYA WINS HER FIRST TV EMMY!

It was a night to remember! Tawnya attended the 2009 Heartland TV Emmy Awards Ceremony in Denver, Colorado. She won for her interview with Colorado's Former Governor Bill Ritter and Former First Lady Jeannie Ritter about their life in Zambia during her series, "Tawnya Inside Africa." The Heartland Emmy's include all local network affiliates and cable companies from Colorado, Wyoming, Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska.
Tawnya is a Producer/Host at KUSA-TV in Denver for the show "Colorado & Company." Tawnya says, "This is a dream come true! I couldn't believe it. Tears came to my eyes as pure joy shot through my body!" Tawnya also credits her mother, Kay Rush for her success. You can watch the Ritter's interview below.
EMMY NOMINATION 2010!
Tawnya also received an Emmy Nomination for her reporting, videography and producing in Haiti. That story is under "Hands on Haiti - Meals in a Rush."
