It's fun for me to gather "Food for Thought"by going out into the Colorado Community and Beyond to find stories of how meals are making a difference. I've reported on everything from young children "rising" to the occasion with a bread program at Front Range Waldorf School to interviewing former Bronco Karl Mecklenburg at Super Bowl XLII in Phoenix. You can watch all of those stories below.
1. Super Bowl XLII "Taste of the NFL" - This is an event during the Super Bowl Festivities that helps to raise money for local & national hunger organizations.
2. Same Cafe in Denver - This eatery was featured in "Reader's Digest" Magazine. Same Cafe has a wide variety of customers, including those who normally couldn't afford a hot meal.
3. What do you know about the Pumpkin? I caught up with a bunch of kids at a Pumpkin Patch in Denver for one "orange"rific look at this fruit.
4. "Rising" to the occasion are some very talented children at the Front Range Waldorf School in Denver. Every week they put their hands together to bake fresh organic bread.
