I remember the first time that camera light turned on. It was love at first sight! Now, I am an Emmy Winner for Producer/Host and Emmy Nominated as Reporter/Producer/Videographer for my work in Haiti.
My producing and on-camera career started while going to college in San Diego, CA, with Cox Communications. I was the host of a local cable show and I had my own Public Access show, “Backstage Pass.” This entertainment-driven show allowed me to interview top Hollywood celebrities and cover red carpet events for such things as the MTV Movie Awards and Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards. Also, during this time, I was interning with the show “EXTRA” and was featured as a one-time special correspondent.
Soon after graduating from college, I couldn't wait to land a job in Los Angeles. My first national show was "Home and Family" taped right on the Universal Studios Lot. I was in television heaven! I was the Talent Executive Assistant. I helped to coordinate and write all of the celebrity segments.
During my time in L.A., I also was a producer for Lifetime Television, MTV and USA Network. While I enjoyed the excitement of the entertainment world, I then decided to pursue my news career. My first anchor/reporting job was in Cheyenne, Wyoming. So, I was thrilled to be getting back to my roots. While in Cheyenne, I launched a brand new morning show, “Rush Hour.” I also have anchored in Casper, Wyoming. In fact, that is where “Meals in a Rush” began sizzling. Soon, I started traveling around the country sharing my “Meals in a Rush.”
Now, I’m thrilled to be settled in Denver, Colorado sharing my “Meals in a Rush” recipes and talents with the show “Colorado & Company” on Channel 9/NBC. To learn more about that show, you can check out www.ColoradoAndCo.com . "Meals in a Rush" is also seen in Phoenix, Atlanta and Jacksonville.
